Yola Beru is an East Coast transplant now living in Huron County after formative experiences in Montreal, Paris, and Toronto.
She billed herself as a folk artist for over a decade in bars and cafes from the East Coast to Ontario, now she continues her musical exploration living with her collaborator and partner Matthew Maaskant on the banks of the Maitland river - a loop vocalist making lo-pressure electronic music that keeps heads bopping.
Culture Reject's Michael O'Connell (ex-Black Cabbage) and bandmate Karri North (Catch Veronica) create a bass forward, guitar and synth-woven emotional dance party of perfectly broken pop songs, with happy and haunting vocal harmonies on up-up tempo beats.
