Goderich Reads: Blind Date with a Memoir

Goderich Reads is hitting the early evening scene with a select Blind Date With A Memoir Event.

Join us at East Street Cider Co. at 6pm for a gathering of the bookish oriented around memoir. You can expect charcuterie, beverages, and a little “after book club hour” social time among friends over a read you might not otherwise pick up on your own.

WRAPPING - The Bee’s Knees is providing free wrapping for anyone’s memoir contribution. We’ll wrap the book and provide a bookmark/notecard for you to drop a few hints about your choice. Pop into the store and we’ll get you sorted.

How will this work? :

Wrap the book such that the content is hidden.

Provide a brief note of description to pique interest without revealing the title or author.

We will gather with our hidden reads and exchange. We will then unwrap and mingle around what is revealed. Our memoir choices will come home with us, with arrangements to be made amongst the participants to return when finished reading. If you feel like leaving a note with your thoughts when you return the book, or even grab a coffee to discuss, that might also be fun.

This event is open to all Goderich Reads members. If you have not yet joined Goderich Reads or have been unable to attend our morning session, perhaps this is the time to get to know us in person.

There is no cost to attend this event, but an RSVP would be most helpful to allow us to organize.

We will be accepting donations for the Magnetic Moments Campaign in lieu of ticket sales.
